Filipina tennis sensation Alex Eala, ranked 140th in the world, just scored the biggest win of her young career over world No. 2 Iga Swiatek, 6-2, 7-5, to reach the semifinals of the WTA Miami Open.

The unlikely path to the Final Four was as hard as can be as Eala claimed the scalps of two former Grand Slam champions in Jelena Ostapenko and Madison Keys before eliminating a five-time Grand Slam winner in Swiatek.
With her sought-after quarterfinals match scheduled at 1 a.m. on a Thursday morning, the Filipino faithful stayed up late and made their presence felt online to show their pride and support for what has been a Cinderella run like no other for Eala.
