DESPITE the noise surrounding the supposed decline in live attendance and viewership of the PBA, the sidelines remain star-studded — at least during Wednesday night’s Game Seven between San Miguel and Barangay Ginebra.
Among the faces in the stands in the decently sized crowd of 12,279 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum were some of the Philippines’ most recognizable names in politics, showbusiness, social media, and the sports world.

Most of them were spotted in the exclusive courtside seats, which follow an invite-only policy. These seats, reserved for the league’s guests and VIPs, are rarely put on sale to the public.
With fewer than 50 spots available, ringside guests get the unique experience of literally sharing the floor with the players. While there’s no official dress code, invitees typically show up in their best casual attire.
Arguably the biggest local celebrity basketball fan, Incognito actor Daniel Padilla, was in attendance on this night. Seated beside him was Quezon City First District Rep. and fellow actor Arjo Atayde and Padilla's pal Zanjoe Marudo.

Senators Bong Go and Bato Dela Rosa were also in the stands for Game 7, flanking former PBA star turned KBL import Arvin Tolentino.

Social media personality and entrepreneur Boss Toyo made an appearance as well.

Meanwhile, Korean Basketball League imports Carl Tamayo and Arvin Tolentino, both currently in their offseason, also dropped by to catch the action.
