IT'S NOT just Christmas vibes that were felt within the University of Santo Tomas, but a bit of that old #WeWinAsOne spirit as well.
In a pyromusical and lights presentation last Monday (part of the university's preparations for their traditional Paskuhan festivities), a whole flight of drones displayed all-out support for the ongoing games, with the drones forming the 30th Southeast Asian Games logo, as well as some of the event's signature visuals.
The visual parade also showcased a colorful array of icons, representing events like swimming, cycling, running, martial arts, and more. The drones even formed the slogan “We Win As One”, and a Philippine flag.
Attendees of the event could only share their luminous experience on social media:
User @officialSOCC, tweeted: “WE WIN AS ONE! Can't get over with the first exhibition? Here's another round of UST Pyromusical's drone show, in celebration of this year’s SEA Games!”
“Sa pagkakaalam ko, Opening of lights ng UST pinuntahan ko. Extended opening ceremonies pala ito ng SEA Games 2019,” said user @euieHLR on Twitter.
“Di naman ako na inform dito pala 2nd opening ng sea games HAHHAHAHHA ang gandaaa,” said account @vonrodillas.
@The13thSwiftie appreciated the display, even if they allege that there were a few mishaps: "They got the whole thing perfectly, despite a few drones going all-Final Destination when they fell from the sky and hit a few spectators."
Twitter account @ustshslst also posted photos of the show, along with the caption: “To end the night, the second part of the drone show showcased SEA Games-themed symbols to show support to the country's athletes.”
