IT'S been a few weeks since Team Kramer had settled into their new “forever” home. On July 11, Doug and Chesca Kramer gathered their family and close friends there for an intimate house blessing.
“[I] Can’t thank God enough for a house we couldn’t even dream of. God’s grace all over it,” Doug wrote on Instagram. “But don’t look at the house, look at the complete, functioning family and marriage. That’s the most important,” he added.
The dad of three shared photos of their intimate gathering as they moved from one part of the house to another while they prayed. The first stop was their massive living and dining room area, then Doug’s man-cave in the basement, which is also where the kids’ bi-level play area is at, and finally the outdoor veranda in the upper floors.
The Kramers had been sharing tidbits of their four-story mansion (it's equipped with an elevator!) since they started construction (everyone’s eagerly awaiting the full house tour!). They’ve always said they designed it with family and friends in mind. Since they moved in, Kendra has already held her 10th birthday swimming party there.
“Since our kids love playing ‘bahay-bahayan’ we decided to make use of the bottom of the stairs at the basement,” Chesca shared. It’s a small space fitted like a playhouse, though the ceiling is high enough that even dad Doug can fit. The mom of three said not wasting space is their way of keeping their home neat and organized.
Doug has also finished setting up his man-cave and had already invited his Fuel Masters friends over to hang out in Team Kramer Theater over steak and BBQ. He was very hands-on not only during the construction and furnishing the interiors, but also in installing a home automation system.
In the video Doug shared, the lights and aircon in the kids’ playroom turn on and off with the help of Amazon’s virtual assistant Alexa. When Kendra said, “Alexa, playtime!” the lights and aircon in the playroom turned on. When Scarlett, who was in the playroom with Gavin, said, “Alexa, playtime is over,” the virtual assistant turned off the lights and aircon in the playroom.
“We honestly don’t even wanna leave our house anymore,” Doug wrote as he shared his wife’s favorite spot in their forever home. Chesca also shared that while the view from their home is perfect. “it’s made even better by this man I call mine.”
With a family like theirs, we really can’t blame the Kramers for wanting to spend more time in their “forever” home.
