JOLINA Dela Cruz came to the rescue of teammate Mars Alba after a Twitter account accused the De La Salle setter of bullying.
In a now-deleted tweet, a certain Green Guardian claimed that Alba was allegedly bullying her teammates. The tweet read:
"This is Marionne Alba! DLSU Lady Spikers team captain, zero UAAP championship titles, bully. Hangga't nasa team ka, hindi magkakaroon ng title ang Lady Spikers dahil sa pambubully mo sa mga teammates mo! #NoToBullying #stopbullying."
Jolina Dela Cruz denies claims made against Marionne Alba
Dela Cruz directly denied the claims about the Lady Spikers' team captain on her social media accounts.
"I wonder where you got your source. I've known Mars for a long time and this issue you're stirring is very far from the truth. You may see her poker face all the time, but she won't do such thing," she said.
Dela Cruz also warned netizens of fabricating stories about the Lady Spikers.
"Why is it easy for people to judge? Stop making up stories, you guys know nothing about what's happening inside the team."
Dela Cruz and Alba debuted for DLSU in UAAP Season 81, when the Lady Spikers failed to defend its championship it held for three years.
Alba was named team captain in UAAP Season 84. That year, DLSU copped a silver finish after bowing to NU Lady Bulldogs in the finals.
The Lady Spikers are through to the quarterfinals of the ongoing Shakey's Super League after leading Pool F with a 2-0 record.
