Dion Waiters is the gift that keeps on giving.

The Miami Heat have reportedly suspended the enigmatic guard for the third time this season due to "failure to adhere to team policies, violation of team rules and continued insubordination."

Dion had already been banned for their season opener, then another 10 games — both because of conduct detrimental to team. Just a month ago, he was penalized after reportedly overdosing on THC-infused edibles that escalated into a mid-flight panic attack.

The former No. 4 pick is currently serving a six-game suspension, including Miami's recent loss to the Los Angeles Lakers Friday last week (PH time) and win over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. He will also sit out their upcoming matches against the Memphis Grizzlies (tomorrow), Philadelphia 76ers (on December 18), New York Knicks (20), and Utah Jazz (23).

All in all, those missed outings (17) cost Dion over $1.4 million off the $12.1 million salary that he's owed this season.

What made this a typical Dion Waiters story, though, was the revelation that followed. In a report by Five Reasons Sports Network, which was also picked up by the Miami Herald, the 28-year-old was spotted sharing Instagram photos of him on a boat after telling the Heat that he was ill and unavailable to practice or play.

Yes, just like that annoying coworker who suddenly skipped duty for being under the weather, then forgot to stay lowkey online.

Dion's IG account is set to private as of writing, and images of him faking sick has yet to surface on social media. This didn't stop netizens from laughing at the absurdity of his latest ban:
