DIABLO FANS in the Philippines can now rejoice as the beloved action RPG's 4th installment is currently free to play.
However there is a catch as Diablo IV can only be played until November 28 at 10 AM Pacific Time.
Should you play Diablo IV?
Given Blizzard Entertainment's recent move, perhaps this could be their method of attracting a new set of playerbase.
So far, Diablo IV has been well received by fans and critics alike with its narrative and gameplay being the game's major highlight. The game's story takes place in a universe where mankind is in a crossroads in the battle between angels and demons, 50 years after the events of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls.
The player will then choose among the character classes namely the Barbarian, Sorcerer, Druid, Rogue, and Necromancer to battle a new threat named Lilith.
The gameplay remains similar to previous installments, where the player traverses through dungeons and villages, combatting evil entities.
In terms of sales, Diablo IV reached record breaking numbers, where it had 12 million players by August 2023.
It recently garnered nominations for The Game Awards 2023, in the Best Multiplayer Game and Innovation in Accessibility categories.
And for those who wish to experience the full Diablo IV experience, players can capitalize on the Autumn Steam sale, where the game is valued at around Php2,500 - Php3,600 depending on the edition. The game's original price on Steam is at Php4,000 - Php6,000.
