THE Communal recently finished building PHASE 2 of their co-living space project, and it’s the best time to get a room here now. What is The Communal, you ask?

Well, it’s practically a dorm for adults, but instead of just sleeping on bunk beds and sharing a room, you get to have your own capsules for comfort and privacy.

If you live far up the north or far down the south, but you work around the metro, The Communal can be your safe haven. It’s just one ride away from the MRT, Ortigas, Makati, and BGC. What’s more, it’s not even expensive. If you’re planning to live solo for a while, you can rent a capsule for (at least) half a year for just P3,600 per month. If you’re a couple, you can share a capsule for just P5,000 per month.

Each unit is inclusive of the following:

  • Mattress
  • Bed sheet
  • Closet
  • Table
  • Cooling fan
  • Shoe cabinet
  • LED light

Water (thank God), and high-speed internet are free. Appliances like microwaves, refrigerators, rice cookers, and kettles are also free to use. Heck, you even get a housekeeper that cleans up after you four times a day. Their air-conditioning is free from 10 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon, and 10 in the evening to 2 in the morning. Utilities are only charged through the electric sub-meter at P25 per kilowatt hour. And did we tell you about the coin-operated washing machines?

We’re pretty sure you’re wondering about the safety of The Communal. Well, we’re here to tell you that there’s no need to worry about it. CCTVs were installed in every hallway, so nothing escapes the security personnel's sight. Plus, the units have a biometric door lock. That means, only the occupants can enter.

The best part is that you can make new friends at The Communal. Since you practically all live together, why not make the most out of it? There’s a pocket garden if you just want to chill at night or even drink. There’s a lounge where you can play board games or watch movies with your new buddies.

All you need to have are two valid IDs, one of which should be government issued, an up-to-date NBI clearance, and a month’s worth of deposit and one-month advance. If you have all that, you’re pretty much ready to go and live in The Communal.
