AFTER a rough Gilas Pilipinas campaign in the Fiba World Cup where he was one of the team's few bright spots, CJ Perez is back home to do double duty — deliver for the Columbian Dyip in the PBA Governor's Cup and spend time with his 10-month-old daughter, Ciana Tanisha.
CJ's longtime partner, Sienna Catacutan, can attest to the super rookie's dedication.
The dynamic swingman, who apparently has never met his father, makes sure that he showers his child with all the love, affection, and support she needs by being a "hands-on dad" despite his loaded schedule.
She also expressed her appreciation for the way the 25-year-old has been protective of the family: "Nung Gilas nga, umuwi muna kami sa Nueva Ecija, hinatid niya kami doon sa province. Then after ng Gilas, pagbalik nila sa Philippines, sinundo niya rin kami from Nueva Ecija."
With his partner and daughter watching, CJ led Columbia with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists in a 112-108 victory against a Robert Bolick-led NorthPort Batang Pier squad.
