WE'RE all still pretty much recovering from Miss Universe Philippines Catriona Gray's jaw-dropping "lava walk" from the preliminary round of the 2018 Miss Universe pageant. We mean, the walk has already launched a thousand memes and it's barely been 24 hours since Cat sashayed onstage!
So how did she do that glorious slo-mo turn, exactly? How did her hair look so perfect? Is she even real????
ABS-CBN reporter Dyan Castillejo posted a short video interview with Catriona where she asked her some of the most burning questions we all have about that turn and walk. "I just did the turn slowly! That's it! It's just a slow turn," said Cat. When asked about her flawless hair: "I don't know, that wasn't me-it just happened that way, promise," she said giggling.
Cat says the turn was completely intentional, by the way, and her hair definitely played a role in making it extra: "My team and I decided we wanted straight [hair] for [the] preliminary [round.] My mentor, kuya Caloy or Carlos. he always taught me that when I turn, I should snap back like when you dance. So I think that's what carried the hair."
Spoken like a true kween. You go, girl!
