MARK ANTHONY Yulo, the father of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, is confident that his son and her mother Angelica Yulo will eventually resolve their differences after their strained relationship became public.
In an interview with One PH’s Cheryl Cosim, the Yulo patriarch is hoping that the family will be able to discuss their issues once his son comes back home from his successful stint in the Paris Olympics.
“Congrats ‘nak. Ang ganda ng performance mo. God bless you. Sana pagbalik mo, mag-usap tayo ng mama mo at kapatid mo. Pag-usapan natin ‘yung magagandang bagay para masaya,” said Mark Anthony.

Mark Anthony Yulo believes that his wife and his son will eventually sort things out so that they can become one family again.
“Opo, mabubuo rin po ‘yan. Konting ano po ‘yan, hindi naman masyadong malaking problema. Sanay naman kami sa problema. Wala namang perpektong pamilya,” said Mark Anthony.
In the interview, Mark Anthony said his relationship with Caloy is all good, even visiting him during his son’s training at the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines gym in Intramuros after going to church in Quiapo two days before his son left for France.
Mark Anthony also said the issue between his wife and son is in reality, a minor one. But now that it has become public, the Yulo patriarch said now is perhaps the right time to sort things out.
“Nag-uusap naman po ‘yan,” said Mark Anthony, referring to Angelica and Carlos. “Konting ano lang ‘yan ng magulang. Alam mo naman sa magulang lalo na kapag nanay, siyempre pagtatanggol niya ‘yan para mapaganda lang ‘yung anak mo. Ako, nasa gitna lang po talaga para sumuporta.”
“Pag medyo ganyan na, talagang kailangan mag-usap na lang sila para kung ano ‘yung ano, malutas ‘yan. Saglit lang ‘yan. Tampuhan lang nilang dalawa ‘yan,” said Mark Anthony.
