ATENEO Blue Eagles of the past decade paid tribute to Fr. Jett Villarin, SJ as the well-loved administrator ended his nine-year tenure as the school's president.
In a seven-minute, 42-second clip directed by assistant coaches Sandy Arespacochaga and Jon Jacinto, players and alumni alike lipsynced a remastered version of "You'll Be Back" from the Hamilton musical, which was sung by Jacinto and current Ateneo team manager Epok Quimpo, as they expressed their gratitude to the ever-supportive priest.
"Fr. Jett, thank you so much for your nine years of service, for your leadership, for your dedication," said longtime Ateneo backer Manny V. Pangilinan.
The video also saw messages from the three head coaches who handled the Blue Eagles for the past decade, as well as former team manager Paolo Trillo.
"Just wanted to congratulate you of your stint at Ateneo. It's an understatement that you did a great job there," said Norman Black, who now holds the post at Meralco in the PBA.

Bo Perasol, who has since moved to University of the Philippines, added: "Maraming salamat sa pinapadala mo every Christmas. Walang paltos."
Current Blue Eagles mentor Tab Baldwin also said, "Don't be a stranger. Come back and see us and I hope that's very soon. Take care, Father, and I hope you the very best."
A bumper crop of Ateneo alumni led by members of the Ateneo five-peat, namely Kiefer Ravena, Von Pessumal, Greg Slaughter, Kirk Long, Nico Elorde, Juami Tiongson, Emman Monfort Justin Chua, Frank Golla, Bacon Austria, and Tonino Gonzaga, as well as Chris Newsome joined in the fun.

The present Blue Eagles which achieved the three-peat were also part of the ensemble, namely Thirdy Ravena, Isaac Go, Matt and Mike Nieto, Adrian Wong, Anton Asistio, Aaron Black, Vince Tolentino, SJ Belangel, Ange Kouame, Will Navarro, Gian Mamuyac, Geo Chiu, Tyler Tio, Matthew Daves, BJ Andrade Jason Credo, Raffy Verano, Pat Maagdenberg, and Jolo Mendoza.
Incoming Blue Eagle Dwight Ramos and assistant coaches Yuri Escueta and Dean Castano alsot took part in the tribute.
Villarin has witnessed five championships in his time as the chief administrator of Ateneo, experiencing the last two titles of the five-peat era and the last three-peat from 2017 to 2019.
He has been an ardent supporter of the Blue Eagles' athletic program and is a fixture in the games, whether it be basketball or volleyball.
He is leaving his post after nine years and will be replaced by former Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan president Fr. Bobby Yap, SJ.
