THE year 2015 promises to be a busy one for multi-sport enthusiasts, particularly triathletes, as Bike King released its race calendar.
The Bonifacio Global City-based bike and sporting event company starts the year at the Clark International Speedway on February 15 for its Speedway Duathlon (4K Run-40K Bike- 4K Run), Criterium (40K) and Time Trial (40K).
On March 1, the popular Tri United series continues at the Subic Bay Freeport. The white sand beaches of San Juan, Batangas beckons Tri United 2 participants come July 5 while Tri United 3 returns to the former US Navy base in Subic with two race categories on October 5.
Tri United 4 (November 22) concludes the series at the Fontana Leisure Parks inside Clark in Pampanga. Each successive swim-bike-run event from Unilab Active Health ups the ante by progressively increasing race distances.
On the other hand, the Bike King Aquathlon is set for March 22 in Metro Manila while the 2015 Aboitiz Tri is also included in the calendar with date and venue to be announced.
The unique, rugged terrain of adventure destination Porac, Pampanga will test duathletes on September 6 for the Bike King Duathlon which features a 6K run, 60K bike and 4K run course.
Bike King then ends 2015 with a bang by holding one of the longest triathlons in the country on December 5 - the 226 Triathlon in Panglao, Bohol featuring a 3.8K swim-180K bike-42K run course.
