FILIPINA McLaren trainee Bianca Bustamante got caught in the middle of a controversy after netizens noticed one of the posts she liked on Twitter, now 'X' app, early Thursday morning.
The 18-year-old rising star was allegedly caught interacting with posts containing insensitive remarks on autism and name-calling on Lance Stroll of Aston Martin.
"I truly deeply apologize. I own up to my mistakes having liked an inappropriate tweet, I can't believe all the people whom I have hurt," she said. "I was scrolling and I accidentally liked the tweet, once I discovered that later on, I immediately unliked it."

"As someone who grew up with my only brother having Autism, I completely understand the challenges faced by anyone with Autism. I would never in a million years support Ableism at any level, let alone support an Ableist tweet against a fellow driver."
"To Lance Stroll and anyone that this has offended, I sincerely apologize as these types of comments is something I do not support," she added.
Jury still out on Bianca
While she regretted the manner, netizens did not buy her narrative as they took screenshots of her likes, and it showed multiple posts attacking the F1 star.
Bustamante also shared that she's not likely to make fun of autism as her own brother is a special one.
