AMONG THE tweets that popped up during the Gin Kings’ victorious Game 5 against the Bay Area Dragons was this throwback from the PBA Insider account, who posted a clip of Hayden Blankley and Kobey Lam trying Chickenjoy and other Jollibee fast food items for the first time.
The video may already be a month old, released back when the Dragons were still facing Rain or Shine. But it was a fitting throwback tweet, with Ginebra chewing through the Bay Area Dragons tonight for a confident win, 101-91. The Gin Kings are now just one win away from the Commissioner's Cup.
In the clip, Kobey Lam — who was Bay Area’s hero in Game 4 and ended up contributing 16 points during tonight’s game — said delightedly of Chickenjoy: “OOOOOOOOHHHHH!”
Meanwhile, Blankley scored a gravy-topped piece of fried chicken 9.1 or 9.3 out of 10... and also scored 29 in Game 5.
