Tim Cone's newly assembled team of veterans and young guns shook off a tentative start to make easy work of host Hong Kong, 94-64, on Thursday night to open its campaign in the Asia Cup Qualifiers Window 1.

While it's only the beginning of a long journey, it's a relief for the fans to see an encouraging performance by a team that had gone through a major face lift under Cone, who was tasked to handle the team over a four-year Fiba cycle.
