THE Bangon Zamboanga Run for the benefit of the victims of the Zamboanga City siege will be held on Saturday at the Mall of Asia seaside grounds.

“A major part of the proceeds of the event will go to the victims of the Zamboanga crisis,” said Basher Alonto, chairman of the Metro Manila Muslim Community for Justice and Peace, in Tuesday’s PSA forum at the Shakey’s Malate in Manila.

PNP Community Relations Group deputy director, Col. Nestor Quinsay Jr, said funds raised from the event will also help the members of the police who were affected by Typhoon Yolanda in the Visayas.

Race director Rey Antoque said that the races will be in 3K, 5K and 10K distances in both men’s and women’s division. Registration is at 4 a.m. followed by a 6 a.m. gunstart.
