IRON Man, Hawkeye, and Captain Marvel themselves all expressed their appreciation for all the Marvel fans from the Philippines in a video released on Marvel’s official Facebook page.
Robert Downey Jr., who practically kicked off the whole thing when he played as Iron Man in the very first film in 2008, couldn’t have said it better.
“To our fans in the Philippines who have been deemed the biggest fans in Southeast Asia, from the bottom of my arc reactor heart, thank you for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown to the MCU for the past 10 years.”
We’re not crying, you’re crying!
Also, when a guy who looks as chill but badass like Jeremy Renner, his simple, “You guys rock,” is more than enough to make us feel more important in the world. Fairly a newcomer to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Brie Larson, also sent her photon blast-filled love to all Filipinos.
Also in the greeting were the Russo brothers, Joseph and Anthony, who co-directed four MCU films, including, of course, Avengers: Endgame.
The star-studded film, which brings a decade’s worth of action and storytelling to an epic conclusion, smashed Philippine box office records on Wednesday. In its opening day, it took P205.6 million, surpassing the record of its predecessor, Avengers: Infinity War, which took P141.6 million.
“We got you,” RDJ concluded. “Whatever it takes.”
