Athletes mourn the passing of film and TV icon Eddie Garcia

ATHLETES shared the collective grief of a nation as they remembered iconic actor Eddie Garcia, who passed away earlier Thursday afternoon.

They joined showbiz and non-showbiz personalities who expressed their deepest condolences to Garcia's bereaved family.

Volleyball player turned TV host Gretchen Ho was among the first to celebrate the life and career of the veteran actor and director, who had starred in over 600 films in his illustrious, almost seven-decade-old career.

Gerald Anderson, a mainstay for Imus Bandera in the MPBL, paid his respects to Garcia, particularly his service to the country as uniformed personnel.
