IS ARCANE really going to end at Season 2 as some of the reports have hinted? Probably not especially since the Netflix series focused on the cities of Piltover and Zaun, and this was already hinted by Riot Games Philippines during the Jinx's Safehouse launch event.
"Arcane Season 2 it presents a fall circle for the story of Jinx and Vi, this is where the story of Piltover and Zaun ends," started Kimi Salazar, the Brand Manager of Riot Games PH.
"But it also opens up possibilities of other stories in the future. We can't say anything at the moment but if you're Runeterra fans, you know that there are many worlds in the Runeterra universe."
There are many worlds in the League of Legends universe like Demacia, home of characters namely Garen, Galio, and Fiora, or Noxus, where characters like Draven, Rell, and Mordekaiser are based, and given the numerous champions in League of Legends, expect a plethora of seasons and storytelling ahead.
Major surprises lie ahead
"Now we can't really share anything, but one thing na we want to tell everyone is that the story will continue. We will tell you how, in the next couple of weeks, on how the story will continue for Arcane so tune in for that," added Salazar.
It took six years to produce the very first season of Arcane and perhaps we could expect the same level of timeline given Riot's core values.
"One of our values in Riot is that when we're going to embark on something, we want to do it right and we take our time because we want to make sure that it is the story that our players deserve and that is why it took six years to produce Season 1 and for us we think it was worth the wait," reflected Salazar.
It is also unsure if the series will still stick with the 'Arcane' title especially once the various League of Legends' universes have been explored.
