FAVORING THE right-hand pocket just beyond the arc, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy sank 28 three-point shots to tally a monster 92-point performance in a friendly game at the Jose Maria College's Sky Gym in Davao City on Sunday night.
Wearing jersey number 8 below his "PACQ" initials, the pastor also notched 4 field goals and 8 assists.
The rest of Quiboloy's ACQ All-Star team chipped in an additional 23 points for a 115-92 victory. Their opponents ACQ Selection only mustered enough points to equal the pastor’s own output - and some were not too keen to play defense.
Quiboloy, 72, displayed an unorthodox but consistent shooting touch and got high fives even from defenders amid cheers from the crowd.
“MVP at 72,” celebrated the caption of the religious leader’s Facebook page.

It was a “record-breaking performance,” the post continued as it posted a highlight reel of the Appointed Son of God’s shooting touch.
Quiboloy is the founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, The Name Above Every Name (KOJC).
The pastor’s exhibition game came two days after he was hit by sanctions by the United States Department of State and Department of Treasury for alleged corruption and human rights abuses.
Quiboloy’s network SMNI reports that the KOJC legal counsel slammed the sanctions, saying that they were “based on unproven allegations.”
