Alyssa Valdez, Jia Morado take winning act on 'Minute to Win It'

BARGING into the finals is nothing new to the battle-tested Creamline duo of Alyssa Valdez and Jia Morado.

And the former Ateneo stars were in fine form as they bested opponents to become the Last Tandem Standing in Thursday's episode of Minute to Win It.

However, the spiker-and-setter partnership was put to the test in the day's Ultimate Challenge, the Caddy Stack. To win the top prize, all they needed to do was to stack three golf balls on top of each other, making sure the position held for at least three seconds.

Unfortunately, they failed to complete the challenge within the 60-second time limit.

On Friday, Valdez and Morado returned to compete with the winning tandems of the week, but they were eliminated in the third round by the team of actresses Meg Imperial and Shy Carlos. They took home P50,000 pesos for their efforts, though.

After the fun and games, Valdez and Morado will put their game faces on as the Creamline Cool Smashers look to cop their third consecutive title in the Premier Volleyball League against the Petro Gazz Angels in a do-or-die match on Sunday at the Ynares Center.
