ALYSSA Valdez just showed one of the best ways to use a game-worn jersey.

The popular member of the Ateneo volleyball squad donated one of her blue and white Lady Eagles jerseys for the benefit of Hasset Go, an up and coming pastry chef, who is battling cancer.

The money that would be raised from the auction of the sports memorabilia would be used for the ongoing treatment of Go’s liver cancer, according to Kathy Solis of ABS-CBN, which organized the #ForChefHasset fund-raiser.

Solis said they are optimistic the jersey would fetch a good price from collectors, noting that a jersey of Gretchen Ho, Alyssa’s former Ateneo teammate, once sold for P15,000 in another event for charity.

Incidentally, Ho also donated some articles from her wardrobe collection such as shirts and shoes.

Interested parties can contact 0917-858-9727 (Kathy) or visit the For Chef Hasset Facebook page for your bids.
