JUST A WEEK after she cracked the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Top 500, Filipina teen tennis sensation Alex Eala continues to climb up the tennis ladder.
The 16-year-old tennister is now at no. 394 of the WTA singles list after its latest update on Tuesday, Philippine time.
In a week she climbed 17 rungs from 411th, following a quarterfinals run in the second leg of the International Tennis Federation W25 Chiang Rai, Thailand, last week.
Eala initially won its first leg, clinching her second pro title in her young career.

In the women's doubles play, Eala also rose 45 places, and is now at WTA doubles no. 690.
The Filipina bet recently earned herself a qualifying round entry to a $1000 tourney, the Madrid Open. She's set to face world no. 68 Anna Bondar in the first round of the qualifiers on Tuesday, 5 p.m., Manila time.
