THE blockbuster trade between Barangay Ginebra and NorthPort naturally took Twitter and Facebook by storm, with rival fans debating what was easily the biggest deal done in the PBA this season.
The reaction was mixed, but there was joy for sure among Ginebra diehards over the arrival of Stanley Pringle, who was traded by NorthPort on Tuesday for the Gin Kings trio of Sol Mercado, Jervy Cruz, and Kevin Ferrer.
The joy is understandable, considering Pringle happens to be one of the most talented scorers in the pro league today - a dazzling guard so good he was called up for national team duty as a naturalized player.
No wonder, too, that not a few people feel the trade was one-sided in favor of Ginebra.

Well, Alas is coming off a two-game suspension for contact with a player in a league game and this post is sure to get him into trouble again, although he tweeted that he felt differently upon learning that no NorthPort draft pick was part of the deal.
Then there's the tweet of NorthPort rookie Robert Bolick, who looked up to Pringle as an idol and mentor during their time together. So you should more or less expect this from the former San Beda star.
Here are a few more:
There are a lot more that are fit to print, but allow us to give the last word to Meralco's Cliff Hodge who fired this cryptic tweet.
