AGATHA Wong bagged a silver medal in the women’s taijiquan event of the 16th World Wushu Championships in Fort Worth, Texas.
Wong was bested by Zeanne Zhi Ning Law of Singapore, but did well enough to secure a podium finish in the tournament. Basma Lachkar of Brunei took the bronze medal.
It was Wong’s second medal in the worlds after taking the silver medal in the same event in 2015 in Jakarta.
Just last month, Wong also got the silver in the taijiquan + taijijian event of the World Combat Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Wong also had a gold in the Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia last May and finished fifth in the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China last October.
