Adamson coach Air Padda absolutely loves the Philippines. The outspoken American coach is a certified beach person who has nothing but great things to say to about our local beaches.
She lists down the top three favorite local beach destinations she frequents during the offseason.
Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte
Without missing a beat, coach Air named Siargao her top travel destination.
“My favorite place I’ve been to is Siargao, I love that island,” she said.
Her reasons were simple. She loves the vibe, the people, and the experience of being in the beautiful island.
“I just like the vibe of the island. I went there last October 2017. The island has a really laid back vibe, very homey, the locals are great and super cool, they love it when they meet tourists."
Boracay Island, Aklan
Hailed many times as the best beach in the world, Boracay is a must-visit according to coach Air.
“My No. 2 is the old Boracay. I had a good time there,” she said. “And it wasn’t all polluted last year.”
Coach Air, though, admitted that it wasn’t the same the next time she visited.
“I went last year, the water is really nasty, sayang. Now, I heard it’s clean but the island itself is not as. I don’t know, it’s different, it’s not the Boracay that I used to know,” she said.
Palawan once booted out Boracay as the world’s most beautiful island, and it is indeed beautiful.
It has world famous travel destinations such as Puerto Princesa, El Nido, and coach Air’s favorite, Coron.
“Everyone thinks it will be El Nido, but no, it’s Coron. I love Coron,” she said. “I just find that El Nido is too quiet for me. In Coron, there’s more places to see and more things to do. I had a really good time in Coron.”
When asked about her next plans, coach Air beamed with joy.
She plans to visit Cebu, Bohol, Camarines Sur, Sagada, Batanes, and Pagudpud among others.
“When I first moved here, I made a list of the places I want to go to,” she said.
