There's no better way to describe it: The climate makes a short walk outside feel like a two-hour pickup game. Regardless of where you're heading, we can all agree that a few minutes under the sun is enough to leave you a sweaty mess.
Anti-dandruff shampoo brand CLEAR decided to face this struggle head-on by setting up an air-conditioned pop-up lounge in the middle of Bonifacio High Street earlier this month. Called the CLEAR Cube, it was a place where people could cool down and get pampered after a long day outside.
The lounge featured a barbers' lounge, where guests had their hair washed—using CLEAR Cool Sport Menthol and CLEAR Ice Cool Menthol—and styled by professional barbers. Several familiar faces were spotted entering the cube throughout the day, including brand ambassadors James Reid and Erich Gonzales.
Those who entered the cube were also welcomed with a variety of cocktails and mocktails, courtesy of Boozy.ph. Waiters were on hand with trays of hors d’oeuvres, while a soft-serve ice cream machine was on standby, ready to load dozens of black sugar cones.
Finally, just as they were about to exit, guests were offered a chance to buy CLEAR products at discount rates that match the day's temperature. Simply put, the hotter the day got, the bigger the discount became. (On that day, the temperature peaked at 34 degrees Celcius.)
