Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera is a proud new owner of a Toyota SUV, which he aptly named Chou after his comfort hero in Mobile Legends. In an interview with SPIN.ph, the World Champion roamer reveals why he chose the 2.4 V Diesel Fortuner as his first car.
“Ito napili ko kasi gusto ko talaga ng malaking sasakyan,” Yawi told SPIN.ph. “Noong una ko talagang nakita ang Fortuner, nagustuhan ko po talaga.”
According to Yawi, he waited for years before he could finally afford to buy a car.
“Ilang taon ko din tong pinag-isipan and pinag-ipunan ito kaya ang sarap sa feeling na nabili ko na siya,” Yawi told SPIN.ph.
In a previous interview with Yawi’s grandmother Lola Adelina, the latter revealed that Yawi’s father had adviced his son to pick a car based on the engine and not the look of the car. “Pinayuhan siya noon ng father niya na kung pipili ng kotse, ang magandang pagpilian ay yung makina, hindi yung body.”

We asked Yawi to name three places where he wants to drive his new SUV.
“Gusto ko pong i-dive si Chou sa Baguio, Tagaytay, at Bataan,” said Yawi.
Yawi’s Toyota Fortuner 2.4 V Diesel 4x2 AT has automatic transmission and is priced at ₱1,958,000.
