(SPOT.ph) With the current restrictions on buses and trains, more and more people are either learning how to ride a bike or covering long distances on their bicycles for the first time. It's a dependable mode of transportation, a great workout, and lets you keep your distance on our virus-stricken streets.

Metro Manila is yet to be completely bike-friendly, but there are destinations in and around the city that are worth a visit if you want to take out those wheels.

Check out this list of biking destinations in and around Metro Manila:

La Mesa Ecopark (Quezon City)

Believe it or not, Quezon City has a sprawling 33-hectare park with verdant grass, rows of trees, a butterfly garden, and even a pond where visitors can try fishing. It's a good place to recharge, especially if you're tired of biking along the unsafe roads of EDSA. La Mesa Ecopark has more than 50 kilometers of dirt roads and single tracks, where you can test out your mountain biking skills without having to leave the Metro.
