TIKTOK HAS revolutionized the way we view online content as its usage of short form videos can be an addicting form of entertainment and education.
Through TikTok, one may discover new dance trends that they can apply on their social media accounts, plus they can learn new life hacks in housekeeping, cooking, etc.
But now people living in America will no longer enjoy the videos from the app, as the company announced that it will shutdown its services in the United States.
Recently, TikTok was placed under the microscope by the United States Supreme Court, as the country raised concerns on its Chinese owner and developer, ByteDance.
According to the US, the app is a national security concern, believing that it collects data on its citizens.
Those in the US who would access the app will receive a message saying: "A law banning TikTok has been enacted in the U.S. Unfortunately, that means you can't use TikTok for now."
"We are fortunate that President Trump has indicated that he will work with us on a solution to reinstate TikTok once he takes office. Please stay tuned!"

MLBB is also affected
Due to the ban on TikTok, this also affects Bytedance's subsidiaries, among them is MOONTON Games. This means that players in North America can no longer access the game until the ban is lifted.
Former NA MLBB player Park "General" Jim-ahn aka Gosu General published a video about his attempts of playing the game. He was greeted with a notice saying: "We are sorry that Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is not currently available in your country or region."
Given the ban, this will further drain the MLBB scene in a region that has been in desperate need of a breakthrough. As of now, NA possesses highly skilled players such as Michael "MobaZane" Cosgun, Ian "FwydChickn" Hohl, and former MSC 2022 champion Nathanael "Nathzz" Estrologo.
MOONTON officially released a statement on Reddit saying: "We are aware of the issue some of the players are facing currently facing. It has been brought up to us that players from United States are unable to access the game and we're trying to reach out to higher ups regarding the situation. We will update the post as soon as we receive any information about the issue."
The developers even uploaded a lengthy Q&A segment for further clarifications.
MLBB isn't the only game that was affected as even the popular card game, Marvel Snap, receives the ban hammer as well.
