And as per Lady Spikers deputy coach Noel Orcullo, these weren't just any piece of accessory; definitely not ornamental.
“Ano lang ‘yan, monitoring nila sa recovery. Gadget ‘yan,” Orcullo said.

The device, according to La Salle aces Angel Canino and Lyka De Leon, is used to “track ‘yung performance and kung paano mag-recover ‘yung katawan.”
Such in-game health monitoring devices are designed to track and record an athlete’s biometric data in real time.
It can be worn on any part of the body to measure performance and strain — subsequently providing data to teams on how an athlete can best recover and maintain optimal fitness.
To date, various brands of in-game monitoring bands are also being used in professional American sporting leagues like the NBA, NFL, and MLB.
