WITH the Toronto Raptors just a game away from its first National Basketball Association (NBA) title ever, it doesn't look like the San Antonio Spurs were on the winning end of last year's blockbuster Kawhi Leonard-DeMar DeRozan swap.
If you're a Spurs fan, chances are you're disappointed. So here's a little something to help cheer you up: One of your young guns, Dejounte Murray, just gifted his little brother a car for graduating with honors. Check it out below:
It's a heartwarming moment without a doubt. Dejounte's brother walks out of the house with toga in hand to the sight of his 22-year-old NBA guard brother with a purple Dodge Challenger waiting for him. The brand-new ride comes complete with a red bow on the hood, too.
"To my younger brother Nate, I love you and I'm so thankful for you," Murray's caption on Instagram reads.
"Ten months ago when you cried and asked to move in with me because you were depressed and scared for your life, and the fact that you didn't have a male figure there 24/7 teaching you right from wrong, I had no choice to take you in and become your guardian," he continues. "I am in tears writing this because all you ever wanted was an opportunity to be the best young man you can be, and since the day you moved in with me you've been the most respectful person I've ever met."
"You didn't miss one day of school, you're on the honor roll with a GPA of 3.8, and little bro, I just want to tell you this is the beginning for you and God has a plan for you. I hope you enjoy your first car, a 2019 Dodge Challenger!"
Damn. Somebody hand us a tissue. What's the most you'd ever buy your little brother for performing well in school?
