WHERE do we even begin with this beauty?
Is it the gold accent around the wheel rim? Is it the tri-spoke setup that looks like something you’d see on a sports car? Is it that silky white frame, or that solid metal cogwheel?
That’s the Dior x Bogarde BMX, released at the end of May, and possibly the most pristine thus far of the collaborations between the French bicycle makers and the luxury house. (You know it’s Dior by those monogrammed frame pads.) It’s the third year in a row that the two have produced limited edition bicycles.
As reported by Esquire Philippines, local sneakerhead DJ Bigboy Cheng has posted a picture of himself riding the bike. Naturally, he was also wearing a pair of Air Dior sneakers.
“Cheng intimated that he ‘only’ paid SRP (standard retail price) for the Dior x BMX bike he sourced from a Dior boutique in Singapore earlier this year,” wrote Esquire’s Alvin Uy.
On the online luxury shop Kollektion, the bike is retailing for HKD 140,000, or around P886,400. Esquire Philippines spotted it at bike reseller The Arsenal for $25,000, or around P1.2 million.
Manufactured in France, only 150 pieces of this bike were produced. Each bike comes with its own Dior-patterned aluminum box, as well as an engraved limited edition number.
BMXs are street and dirt bikes, made for stunting on the asphalt or off-road. But this luxury facelift definitely belongs in a museum.
