PHOTOGRAPHERS covering the PBA beat were surprised when a familiar face joined their ranks during one quarterfinal match in the Commissioner’s Cup.
In street clothes due to a back injury suffered in last week’s quarterfinal rubber match against Rain or Shine, GlobalPort's Ryan Araña borrowed the camera of one of the photographers in the sidelines and fired away.
Asked by SPIN.ph about it, Araña said photography has always been his hobby, even taking classes early in his PBA career.
“Actually dati, siguro mga first, second year ko sa PBA, nag-aral ako ng basic photography. Meron akong DSLR. Nung naging medyo busy na ‘yung schedule, ‘yung pag-shoot ko ginawa kong hobby,” Araña said.
“Andiyan lang naman ‘yan. Alam ko naman ‘yung basic. Siguro after ng career, malay mo,” said Araña, who posts lovely photos of his family in his Instagram account.
Recently, Araña took his interest to new heights when he gained an interest in drone shots.
“Mahilig ako magpalipad ng drone. I do drone shots especially kapag nagta-travel kami. Ako rin nag-eedit ng video. Makikita niyo sa Instagram account ko ‘yung mga video,” said Araña.
We took a look at one of Araña’s drone shots on his Instagram account.
Yup, we're impressed.
