THIS WEEK was an odd one in footwear collaborations.
Teased last week with a pool shot, pop star Justin Bieber and Crocs finally took the wraps off their clog collab, revealing a sunny yellow pair of Crocs with a whole host of charms (or what Crocs calls “Jibbitz”).
This clog will be released under Bieber’s drew house fashion label. The complete set, including the Jibbitz, will retail for $54.99, or around P2,660. Don’t underestimate the power of Justin Bieber to move merch — after his collab was teased, Crocs share prices rose by as much as 7 percent.
Then, luxury footwear brand Cole Haan dropped this collab with work messaging app Slack. Yes, Slack. The end result is a set of four comfy looking knit sneakers, each decked with accents from the app’s signature colors.
Each shoe is $120, or around P5,800.
According to the brand, they worked on this collab over Slack — perhaps the first shoe ever to make that claim.
