ENTERING his 17th season in the NBA, the King gears up with the newest addition to his signature Nike sneaker collection: the LeBron XVII.
Aside from its maximum performance-boosting capability, the latest model is set to debut a few upgraded technologies that will enhance the pair's efficiency.
"We had 'the blueprint' in mind for the 17, and we started from the ground up on everything, whether that was the construction of the knit or the way we could protect him underfoot with Air bags," LeBron XVII designer Jason Petrie from Nike was quoted as saying. "The silhouette was a way to reset the mark for LeBron, and futuristically explore how we could help his game with the best that Nike offers."
Here's what's new with the Nike LeBron XVII:

Highest-volume Heel Max Air unit
The King needs all the stabilization and support he can get for his superhuman explosiveness, and Nike's solution is equipping the LeBron XVII with the most Max Air in a shoe for shock absorption. A soft foam pod was also added as a cushioning upgrade.

Two independent Air Zoom pods
Merging Air Zoom and Max Air resulted in the ultimate hybrid cushioning. Forefoot units — lateral and medial pods —are tailored to handle LeBron's downhill speed.

Knitposite technology
An evolution from the LeBron XVI's Battleknit 2.0 construction, the heir to the sneaker throne sees a combination of lightweight Flyknit and heat-molded yarns for that jewel-like armored exoskeleton look and stretch-resistant product.
His signature Lion crest, dunking sillhouette, and the phrases "I'm King," "LJ" and "23" all make their way to the highlighted tongue.
The LeBron XVII will be launched on September 27, and will be available in the Philippines on October 10, 20, and 29, for each colorway
