BY now, Filipino players, both pro and amateur, have given the Lebron XVII Low ‘Titan' a good run in their personal training.

Here's what they're saying.

Gilas Pilipinas mainstay Gabe Norwood is high on the fact that the shoe is the first LBJ shoe to be equipped with REACT cushioning - and thrilled over the flaming red and gold colorway.

“I’m a big fan of the REACT tech. I have a couple of pairs of the running shoes with that that stay in my rotation. Excited to have it on a pair of Brons and test them out on the court," he said.

“The color scheme is eye catching and the choice of red is powerful. Given the history (when our flag is flipped, and the red is on top it signifies we are headed for battle), the shoes are also ready for it!”

Veteran Ginebra star LA Tenorio considers the LeBron 17 Low Titan as one of a few in the Bron line which is built for guards like him.

"“Personally being a point guard, prefer ko may REACT. Most of my shoes that I use for basketball – though I’m not particular with them, walang pinipili paa ko – my priority is the cushioning, comfortability, and weight of the shoes. Kaya yung mga may REACT, Flyknit that’s what I prefer as a PG," he said.

"Aside from that, most of the LeBron shoes are quite differently built. It’s not for guards like us. It’s for a big guard. Because he’s big. That’s why I’m quite surprised they used REACT on these. Para na siyang naka tsinelas nito for sure (laughs) for LeBron.”

But most of all, Tenorio is high on the rare LBJ collab with a Philippine entity.

"For LeBron to accept that collaboration, ganun kaimportante tong Philippines kay Lebron," he said. "Just like Kobe. I don’t think there’s any other country that has a collaboration with him. Nakakatuwa, nakakaproud. Hats off to Titan and the Nike Philippines family."

The Gomez de Liano find the shoes like and comfortable on the feet, although Juan wasn't too comfortable that it 'felt high off the ground' when worn.

“It was really light and comfy. Felt high off the ground though because of the Air Max cushion I guess, so it might not be okay for those who have ankle issues like me," the former UP Maroons guard said.

"Had to shift shoes though in the middle of my workout since it wasn’t too tight for me. I always put tape every time I use Lebrons," he added. "That’s my only concern though. But overall, fit was still great.”

Kiefer Ravena had no such complaints.

"The traction’s grip is great. Perfect for players who want to change direction a lot, for those shifty guys," he said. "Fit is also snug but comfortable. The Air Max bubble cushioning is great. You can feel the support every time you jump and land."

    And his brother Thirdy?

“I like how it hugs my foot while allowing me to move freely with comfort on the court.”
