LOOKS like the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons wanted to relive the past, by sporting short jersey shorts during their UAAP Season 82 odebut against the FEU Tamaraws on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Although this doesn't mean that everyone in the team is happy about their new look, including head coach Bo Perasol, who admitted, "That was a distraction for them in the beginning. I told them we have to go through that. Also, it was just a lapse."
While some were glad to wear it as a fashion statement, the short shorts were really uncomfortable for most of them, especially the length.

"There were some misunderstanding about the jersey. It's not what we expected, but we're here not to care about how we look, instead to represent our school," said Ricci Rivero, who had seven points and six rebounds for the Maroons.
Nevertheless, the Diliman-based squad didn't dwell on it and managed to survive FEU, 61-55.
Rivero added, "'Yung iba di talaga gusto 'yung ganung shorts, so it's not going to be the same uniform that we're going to wear for the next games. We can't let it affect our performance. We have to focus on the game."
Twitter definitely noticed UP's short shorts struggle:
