CALL it a Filipino-American shoe.
Commonwealth, the streetwear store co-founded by Filipinos with branches in Virginia Beach, Los Angeles, and the Philippines, now has its own shoe that’s not only part Filipino but also associated with a sneaker giant.
The 14-year-old lifestyle brand has collaborated with adidas Consortium—and now it has created a shoe inspired by coastal living: the ZX500 RM.
While the ZX500RM is mostly white, making it easy to pair with most clothes, the embroidered blue, green, and black colors that make up the iconic adidas three-stripes logo give it distinction. According to co-founder Mike Concepcion, the colors represent the hues you see on coral reefs.
A Commonwealth tag is stitched near the heel atop a Boost midsole making it perfect for strolling at the mall or walking by the seashore.
Commonwealth unveiled the fresh kicks at its prelaunch event at the Power Plant Mall, Makati branch, Thursday, December 13, two days before its official launch last Saturday. The 500RM sells for P9,300.
Check it out at Commonwealth branches and show your coastal living pride.
