SO this is the new normal tunnel walk.
One by one, carrying bags of clothes, sacks of chips, and in some cases a PC gaming monitor (we’re looking at you, Deandre Ayton), the NBA teams trooped into Orlando all throughout this week to gear up for the much-awaited season restart.
In their Instagram posts, they were all rocking face masks. One was even wearing a hazmat suit. (We’re looking at you, Joel Embiid.)
It’s a health thing, for sure. But for some of these players, it was definitely also a style thing.
Here are the 9 best NBA face masks that arrived at Orlando. Welcome to the new normal’s new NBA fashion flex.
Tacko Fall (and the Celtics team with custom face masks)
Some teams made uniform face masks for their players. The two-toned black and green Celtics version was the best looking one, though. Just take a look at Tacko Fall.
You can count on LeBron to look good, even in the midst of corona.
Now that’s some great neck to nostril coverage.
He may not be playing in the restart, but he showed up in Orlando all the same. For his tunnel walk shot, Oladipo ditched the official Pacers mask for this kaleidoscopic entry. Good shirt, too.
Montrezl Harrell and Caldwell Pope
These two LA team neighbors were rocking the same face covering: a collab between streetwear brand Chinatown Market and Klutch Sports. The graphic shows a bear in nurse scrubs hammering home a slam dunk; proceeds from the (now sold-out) line were donated to frontliners.
NBA restart… or very chill beach trip?
In the Heat bench, it was a toss-up between Meyers Leonard and Tyler Herro in the face mask game. But the one who won was the one with the dog.
File this under: new normal style OOTD idea.
Bonus: Best Team Bus
Undoubtedly, unquestionably, indubitably, the Raptors.
