SAN Miguel will be wearing throwback jerseys in a few of their games in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup inside the bubble in Pampanga.
The jerseys were shown by some Beermen players in their social media accounts as San Miguel Pale Pilsen celebrated its 130th anniversary.
There was a video of the Beermen players dancing while wearing their throwback jerseys. The video was shot during the resumption of training by PBA teams.
San Miguel team manager Gee Abanilla confirmed that the retro jerseys will be worn during select games of the Philippine Cup at the Angeles University Foundation gym.
“Parang ‘yung uniform lang ni coach Atom Bomb,” said Abanilla in describing the jersey.
The jerseys were worn by the Beermen of the 1990s like Samboy Lim and Ato Agustin, currently one of the assistant coaches of the Beermen. The jersey also includes an old PBA logo patch.
The Beermen are eyeing for their sixth straight Philippine Cup title inside the bubble with the defending champions holding a 1-0 record in the resumption of the games.
