PLAYERS and coaches need not to worry about their haircuts while they are inside the PBA bubble in Clark.
PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said they are now in the process of getting barbers to join the two-month bubble in Clark during the resumption of the 2020 Philippine Cup.
Marcial said the PBA is in close coordination with Bases Conversion Development Authority president and CEO Vince Dizon and Clark Development Corporation president Noel Manankil for the amenities the players and coaches will have inside the bubble.
“May inaayos kaming barber. May magiisponsor pero tatanungin muna namin kila Sec. Dizon at President Noel,” said Marcial during Thursday’s press conference.
The NBA also had a similar concept in its bubble at the Disney Wide World of Sports in Florida wherein barbers were available for the players and coaches.
Players and coaches are a few days away from entering the bubble after the PBA was given a provisional approval from the Inter-Agency Task Force to resume their season that was postponed last March.
Aside from their hair care, the PBA is ensuring that the players and coaches will be given amenities for their entertainment while the delegation is away from their homes and families.
Quest Hotel will be the exclusive home of the PBA teams in the Clark bubble, and Manankil assured that there are enough amenities that the players can use during the two-month period of the season.
“Ang Quest is may mga game rooms, may mga gyms at may mga barber na inaarrange pa. May swimming pool din sa loob ng Quest. Within the compound, may Mimosa Golf Course. That’s also available,” Manankil said.
