THE Courtyard, a new basketball court by Nike that reflects the Filipinos' deep passion for the sport and provides a safe space for a community of players, opened on Friday in the heart of Bonifacio Global City (BGC).
The 2,182-square meter Courtyard at 25th Street and 7th Avenue in BGC has two FIBA-regulation sized courts and one practice half-court, with amenities such as restrooms, locker rooms, showers and a rooftop that can double up as an observation deck or a space for events and workshops.

It is a colorful, welcoming court that expresses the Pinoy love for the game and can be accessed by all. It is also sustainable because the courts are made of Nike Grind – rubber from the outsoles of about 30,000 pairs of recycled shoes.
The Courtyard now joins Nike’s international circuit of courts that serve as re-energized spaces for communities to enjoy sport.

Hoop-inspired artist Kiefsix’s bright colors and bold patterns reflecting local aesthetics, give The Courtyard its youthful look while making it authentic to Manila’s baller community.
“The hope is that every baller who steps onto the court will feel a sense of identity, and they will feel proud to be a Filipino baller,” said Kiefsix.
The Courtyard will host weekly pickup runs, female-only games and regular basketball camps for ballers of all levels, including Girls Got Game Philippines and women’s community groups.
Designed to be an inclusive space, ballers of all levels are welcome to play at The Courtyard and able to sign up for free using the Nike app.
