KEVIN Durant showcased his latest signature shoe in style as he exploded for 34 points in the Golden State Warriors’ 113-111 win over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 1 of their Western Conference finals series on Sunday (Monday, Manila time).
The KD10 made its on-court debut on Sunday just in time to celebrate Durant’s 10th-year anniversary since signing up with Nike and immediately getting rewarded with his first signature shoe.
Leo Chang, the man behind the KD signature series, came up with an innovative design for the 10th version starting with the most advanced Flyknit upper ever on a basketball shoe. The mix of low-stretch, high-tenacity yarn from the collar and across the forefoot of the upper yields a perfect balance of basketball-specific support and sock-like fit.
The full-length Zoom Air, which debuted in the KD9 and KD9 Elite, is also present in Durant’s latest signature sneaker, giving the KD10 enhanced durability and tuned for maximum impact cushioning but with a new traction pattern on the outsole.
For the launch, the KD10 comes out in two colorways — the ‘Anniversary’ with a tonal light blue upper and a multi-colored Swoosh honoring all the teams Durant has played for; and the ‘Still KD’ version in white FlyKnit upper with a chrome Swoosh.
The KD10 ‘Anniversary’ makes its official launch in the US on May 26, while the ‘Still KD’ debuts on June 1.
In the Philippines, the KD10 will be available beginning June 5 and will release at Titan Fort and Nike Park Fort. Durant’s latest signature sneaker has a price tag of P7,645.
