KOBE Bryant’s Nike signature shoe line has always been known for pushing the envelope when it comes to innovation.
The tradition continues with the new Kobe A.D. NXT, arguably one of the most unique basketball shoes in the market, that is scheduled to be released this coming weekend.
Nike sneaker designer Eric Avar retained the sleek, low-top silhouette the line is known for in the 12th edition of the Black Mamba’s shoe.
What stands out in the Kobe A.D. NXT is the unconventional lacing structure intended to keep each feet locked down. The upper is made from lightweight Flyknit. The completely redesigned midsole unit has a drop-in insole composed of Lunarlon and a Zoom Air bag for responsive cushioning.
As a personal touch connecting each pair to its namesake, the shroud features a subtle circular knit, a reference to the lotus flower that represents rebirth, an ongoing theme in Bryant’s post-retirement journey.
The Nike Kobe AD NXT in a Volt colorway will be available at selected retailers ton Saturday, April 1 (Sunday, Manila time) followed by a worldwide release of the 'Wolf Grey' version on April 3 with announced price at $200.
