KOBE Bryant may be happily retired but his signature shoe line remains active as ever in catching the eyes of basketball fans and sneakerheads alike, more so with the recently unveiled Nike Kobe 11 ALT.
Much attention has gone to the Nike Kobe A.D., Bryant’s first shoe post-retirement, but Nike Basketball gave a fresh reboot to the Kobe 11 line with the ‘ALT’ model.
Reminiscent of the Nike Air Zoom ‘The Glove’ worn by NBA legend Gary Payton, the ALT is actually a Kobe 11 Elite encased in an inner bootie shroud construction with asymmetrical zippers.
Inside, the shoe’s upper is of lighweight Flyknit in a multicolored colorway. Cushioning is provided by a Zoom Air sole unit.
The initial release comes in a tumbled gray sheath while the actual shoe has a combination of metallic gold and multi-color. The price and release date have yet been undisclosed so stay tuned for updates.
