Find out how Michele Gumabao keeps her skin glowing despite hectic schedule

VOLLEYBALL player turned beauty queen Michele Gumabao has so much on her plate right now, but, at the end of every log day, skin care is always important.

Despite her hectic schedule - from training, to being a sports analyst on TV and doing her duties as reigning Bb. Pilipinas Globe - Gumabao still finds time to take care of her skin.

The Creamline star points out that skin care is just as important and shouldn’t be taken for granted.

“Tyaga talaga, kahit pagud na pagod ka, hilamos [before matulog],” said Gumabao, who also credits her job as an athlete on how she detoxifies.

“I think naman kasi kung athlete ka, araw-araw kang nagpapawis eh, kaya lumalabas lahat ng toxins mo sa katawan and syempre kung malinis ka naman sa katawan [it comes naturally] especially for me kasi araw-araw akong naka-makeup,” she added.


    Gumabao revealed that no matter the process, it’s always important to remove all the makeup before going to bed.

    “Tanggal lahat ng makeup bago matulog,” she said. “Lagay ng skin care, moisturizer of 10 steps ng Korean [skin care] man ‘yan. Kailangan lang talaga consistency.”

    “Kasi ‘di ba kapag tumanda ka mas marami kang gagastusin kung hindi ka mag-umpisa ng bata pa so prevention is really key in taking care of your skin. Hindi rin kasi maarte ang skin ko, mura or mahal [ok lang sa akin],” she added.

    As for her sleeping habits, Gumabao admitted that her schedule won’t always permit her to sleep early.

    But she finds time to sneak in some naps during the day to regain her energy.

    “Ang hirap din kasi ang training namin 6:30, so gising ako ng 4 a.m., eh paano kapag may meeting ako ng gabi, wala na, ang tulog mo four to five hours na lang,” she said.

    “So in the middle of the day I try to take naps as much as I can para makasundot ng pahinga,” she added.
