IF you want a one-stop shop for all your fitness requirements, then Phenom Sports Center is the place for you.
The Makati City facility, launched last October 22 by way of a 3x3 tournament, aims to help athletes and fitness buffs be the best that they can be, said general manager Jensen Ilagan.
“We believe that good athletes are born but great athletes are made,” said Ilagan. “We believe that anyone can be phenomenal that’s why we named it Phenom Sports Center.”

In order to help their clients be ‘phenomenal,’ Ilagan said the facility is not limited to being a playing venue for basketball. It also has a training court that has four rims and a space to practice on different skills like dribbling and passing.
Easily the most popular at the sports center was Dr. Dish Basketball, a shooting machine where a player can practice on his or her shooting with the ball automatically being passed by a machine to a certain spot.

Ilagan also said the facility also has a gym where clients can work out.
If other gyms have trainers, well, Phenom Sports Center has a sports nutritionist, a sports psychologist, and a therapist to help them out.
“I’ve seen a lot of athletes go from one place to another to get the complete package,” said Richard Paule, Phenom Fitness managing partner. “The idea behind it is we want a complete training facility where it will be a one-stop-shop for all athletes.”

“We offer a strength and conditioning coach, a basketball skills coach, a nutritionist, a sports psychologist, and a physical therapist,” said Paule.
