COMBINING urban aesthetics with athletic function, UNDRAFTED - a local streetwear brand - has given school colors a fresh look with its mesh shorts collection for the UAAP.
Timely for the second round of Season 87 basketball tournaments, the brand released eight colorways of varsity wear, featuring their unique interpretations of school mascots.
According to the brand, this collection aims to encourage not just sports fanaticism, but also movement among collegiate fans.
“We see that it’s usually tees and hoodies worn while watching the game, so we felt that you can also sport your school colors while playing the game,” said Joseph Tipay, owner of UNDRAFTED, shared with SPIN Life.
Tipay added that shorts have always been a staple of the brand, and it’s important for weekend warriors or casual fans to look and feel good, regardless of the game's outcome.

The collection also comes with minimalistic graphic tees of all UAAP schools.
Mesh shorts are sold for P800 while the tees are at P750.
Not only UAAP, but also PBA
Anchored to its plea of supporting the local sporting scene, UNDRAFTED also recently released a shirt collection of vintage PBA teams.
“We share the same dream of every hooper who wants to make it happen like the underdogs to every story. We are a cultivation of basketball and hip-hop culture,” Tipay added.
Items are available in their physical store in Pasig City, and on their social media accounts and website.
